South Farm holiday cottages are situated in East Devon in the Blackdown Hills which are known locally as the secret hills due to their tranquil setting, we are central to Devon's many tourist attractions, summer and winter, beaches, moors, market towns, Torquay, Dartmouth and the seaside resorts of Lyme Regis, Beer, Sidmouth and Exmouth. Honiton, 7 miles away is a delightful Devon market town. You can shop at a Farmer's market or the High Street shops that offer the best of Devon food, then browse through the antique shops. Also Visit the historical City of Exeter, the regional capital only 30 minutes drive or bustling Taunton just 25 minutes drive.

Apart from fishing in our lakes, strolling our quiet lanes and enjoying the birdsong and peace, we have access to adjoining Woodland Trust woods. Within walking distance there is also the Sheldon Equestrian Centre, Hollies trout fishery. There is also good cycling, along the quiet country lanes.

Or you could take to the skies and after visiting the Memorial Museum at Dunkeswell airfield, launch yourself out of a plane parachuting, go gliding, learn to fly or drift overhead in a hot air balloon from Exeter. For the adventurous, there is 4x4 driving range, go-karting, hiking or mountain bike riding on our own Blackdown hills, Dartmoor or Exmoor and surfing off the golden beaches of North Devon.

The Drewe Arms,

Kate, Dan, Viv and their team welcome all arrivals to The Drewe Arms in Broadhembury warmly, like old friends. After your initial delight in the ancient medieval building, you walk into a quirky, tasteful interior: sisal flooring and antique beams abound. The Wyndham Arms is a grade II listed historic coaching inn, situated within the beautiful Mid Devon village of Kentisbeare.

The Wyndham Arms is a traditional Devon pub, welcoming locals and visitors alike. It was saved from permanent closure in July 2008 by the Villagers of Kentisbeare.

We have a bar, a snug and a restaurant and are open every day. We pride ourselves on serving fresh, delicious pub food and real ale, having received a 'Cask Marque' award.

The pub boasts a large outdoor area, with lovely views of St Mary's Church and plenty of space for the children to run around.
